 Charles City's annual America's Hometown July 4th Celebration features fun for families and visitors of all ages leading into the Independence Day holiday. Live entertainment, volleyball tournaments, talent show, BBQ competition and children's activities are all part of the festivities. And, of course, no July 4th celebration would be complete with out a parade and fireworks!

America’s Hometown July 4th Celebration
Family Fun event in Central Park with a BBQ competition, games, food and of course, blues music!
The public is invited to vote for their favorite BBQ ribs during the competition. Tickets for voting will be available at the Chamber of Commerce Office (401 N. Main St.) and the Floyd County Farm Bureau Office (1102 Gilbert St.).
